Young explorers school visits

The Museum Group encourages supervised visits by school children where young explorers can learn more about the history of Dubai as a trading link between East and West and how tolerance, mutual respect and diversity have resulted in peaceful trading, cultural exchange and evolution in art and creative expression; as CCM Group aims to demonstrate. We recommend that you to pre-book your visit by contacting our Box Office; and pre-plan it according the students’ age group, class, or interest, to ensure satisfying their curiosity!

To ensure that visiting the CCM group will provide your students with a unique, memorable and educational experience; we have mapped out a Children’s Trail, and highlighted 70 Must-see exhibits to help guide your students through our galleries. Our innovative educational “Game Pack” is tailored to interest various age groups.  In addition, we have developed the Portable Museum scheme where are happy to come to your school and conduct a talk presenting few of The Museum’s prized exhibits. If you are interested, please contact the museum.

Family visits with children

It is difficult for young people in the 21st century to appreciate the importance of the historical dimensions of past civilizations, because it is so easy for them to focus only on contemporary scientific and technological advances. However, knowledge of the past is vital because only then can we understand where we have come from. It puts our present experiences into context. This is also true about knowledge of the history of our families, and our nations. By deepening our knowledge of the past, we can come to understand who we are. We are the descendants of those who made our past, the men and women who created our civilizations, who risked all to achieve peace and prosperity.

Make sure you follow the Children’s Trail, and download our children’s games pack. In addition, our delightful El Fena courtyard, is the perfect place for your your children to rest or play games, seek shelter in traditional tent, take picture with a real Egyptian Mummy (antique replica), or hangout in our Al Yelsa café writing postcards (which can be purchased from our gift shop) to family and friends about their visit, before you proceed to our two other museums around the corner. There they can see, touch and take photographs or historical guns, swords, and saddles. In fact, we hope that you will find a great deal to tantalize their curious minds and give you all a delightful day out!

Visitors with disabilities

The Museum Group is equipped with ramps for wheelchair users outside each gallery. Currently, we are working on adding extra ramps at the entrance. Our staff are happy to assist you upon arrival.
